This week marked the beginning of Fall For Dance, the annual festival at the newly rennovated City Center where every seat in the house is $10 and every type of dance is represented. Over the years FFD has proven to be one of the highlights of the season and it's a great way to not only discover new companies but to visit some old favorites as well (that is, if you can snag a ticket in the few hours it takes to sell out).
I was fortuante enough to step into the studio with Oberon's Grove to shoot The Australian Ballet last week as they prepared for their FFD debut of Gemini, a marathon of a piece that showcases stamina and technique. (We also had a moment to snag some pictures to promote their new production of Swan Lake, which will make its Lincoln Center debut next summer.) The company performs tonight at City Center!
Dancers: Adam Bull, Rudy Hawkes, Lana Jones and Amber Scott
