By Matthew Murphy (Photographer)
When I got a call from composer-extraordinaire Drew Gasparini saying he wanted some new promo shots, I knew I'd have to think outside the box. Anyone who has met or worked with Drew (or heard any of his music for that matter) knows that not only is he charming, but he's got quite a sense of humor. The brainstorming began and I came up with a few offbeat ideas hoping he'd be on board.
From the moment I arrived and set a pair of novelty glasses on his dining room table I knew we were on the same page. So out we stepped onto the streets of the Upper West Side with a handful of clothes pins and a pile of index cards covered in Drew's song titles. The following two hours were filled with more laughs than shutter clicks....and that's just the way I like a shoot to go.
