E! is hosting a contest to find the next honorary Kardashian and one Crazytown writer currently holds the first place position but needs your help to stay there.
By Pam Quinn (Writer)
The fans have spoken. According to E!, I am the leading contender for their “Honorary Kardashian” contest. I’m sorry... WHAT???
It’s true... It’s true. Weeks ago, I had one too many cocktails and entered a contest on a whim. The contest was announced following an episode of my favorite reality show (Next to Extreme Makeover Home Edition - cause, you know... everyone wins on that show. Everyone.). I read the words, “Could you be the next Honorary Kardashian?"... and I thought to myself, “Why the f*ck not?” So I filmed a 30 second video explaining why I should be an honorary Kardashian. I entered it and about a week later I received an email telling me I made it into the top 135 and that those would be posted online for people to vote. Within 48 hours I went from #135 to #12 and in 72 hours I went from #12 to #3... and now, I am Pleased (and a little bit shamed) to say that I am the #1 video on the site. Again, I ask “WTF?!”
The Contest:
Voting stops on the 15th of July and the top 5 videos are watched by Kris Jenner:
She then handpicks a winner from the top five. So, while it’s great and unbelievable that I’m currently in the 1st place spot, I just have to stay in the top five and since there’s only today and tomorrow left to vote I need everyone’s help. Just click HERE to vote for me. We all have our things... The Kardashian’s are mine as you may have picked up from a previous Crazytown blog I have written.
The Prize:
A trip for 2 to LA, hotel, rental car, $750 spending money, $500 spa certificate.
The greatest thing so far about this voting experience is the outpour of love and support from my friends and acquaintances. There’s been a lot of “I voted, and now I’m puking.” and “I had to ‘like’ the Kardashians in order to vote for you. I must really love you cause now I want to set myself on fire.”I get that this family isn’t loved by most of the people I love. And I know that many find them obnoxious and say things like 'they’re famous for no reason or because of a sex tape’ and so I just smile and say “thank you for your vote”. Cause I am thankful. It’s really meant a lot to me to see the support from everyone despite their personal opinions towards the “cause”. It would be nice if the amount of people who wanted me to be an honorary Kardashian would donate to my awesome theatre club that is struggling so much on INDIEGOGO, but... the people have spoken. THIS is what they care about. And you don’t have to dish out $10 to cast your vote for PAM.
I lived in California for 7 years and I’ve got a lot of friends and family that I would LOVE to see while I’m out there and finally be crowned an honorary Armenian. This may confuse you... allow me to explain.
Two of my best friends from high school in California are Armenian. Since high school I’ve always felt a bit on the outside when it came to their group of friends. Cause... you know... I wasn’t Armenian. I didn’t understand the language and it became a goal of mine to learn it and then leave them an angry voice mail in Armenian... or an up beat one. I hadn’t decided. Rosetta Stone makes no such tapes. So here I am, about to become an honorary Kardashian and though it certainly isn’t the way we all thought I’d make it into the club... it might be the best way.

I did both (Kardashians and IndieGogo)...so there. Maybe cosmically they'll balance each other out: embarrassed for the Kardashian vote but proud of supporting PlayClub...maybe? Anyways, best of luck with both!
