So it's here. My final post on Crazytown. I've had such a blast writing for this community site and am blessed to have been among so many talented writers. The best part about CT was having that deadline to get my blog in which, gave me a push to write. As a writer, you can't ask for anything better than that push.

For my final post, i find it only fitting to throw you guys another one of my homemade music videos. I've made quite a few during my time here, but this one is close ot my CrazyTown heart because it features the music of our Editor in Cheif Ryan Scott Oliver. So I threw this together as a little 'gift' to say "thanks for having me, friend."

THE PAST AND FUTURE OF 45 BLEECKER ST THEATRE

How returning to the scene of a past show you love inspires your current love of crime scenes.

This weekend I went full circle. In 2007, The Unknown Artists produced a show called "It's About Time" and we ran at The Bleecker Street Theatre for 2 weeks.
It was a pivotal time in my life. Our show was going up in an off Broadway house and the music, lyrics and book we had slaved over for a year was finally getting up on its feet in the most professional way it could at that time.

5+ years later, I return to 45 Bleecker to see a play called "The Exonerated" by Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen. Recently, if you haven't followed me on Facebook and Crazytown, I have become extremely interested in the world of Crime documentaries. So it's only fitting that I visit my old playground 5 years later to treat my mind to a subject matter that effects me in the now, rather then the '20 somethings trying to make it in New York' that effected me then.

SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK

Another movie you should DEFINITELY add to your "must see" list.

This weekend, post Thanksgiving, I had the pleasure of seeing "Silver Linings Playbook" starring Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence.

Oh yeah, that other guy was in it too... Robert something...
It was REALLY good. Great beginning, great ending, great performances, strong script. It had its pros and its cons... so I think  that's how we'll handle this review. Much like the YELP review stylings of one Amber Ayotte.

LINCOLN - WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The ten things you should know about Lincoln; whether or not you get around to seeing it.

I saw the movie Lincoln on Sunday. With out over writing a review about it, I’ll just tell you the 10 things I thought of during the movie that I would have written in a wordy review. There are no Vampire jokes.

1. Daniel Day Lewis is incredible. He takes what little actual information we have about how Lincoln spoke and moved. How he thought and expressed his emotions and created a man that we all feel as if we’ve known our entire lives. They’re already making his Oscar, I’m sure.

2. I appreciated the movie more than I enjoyed it. It was a pretty slow start getting into it and I lost attention several times through out as they beat their dead horse of a main plot line. This brings me to my third point. But the sets, props and costumes had my jaw on the floor and the performances were exceptional as well.

3. Where were the sub plots? Any subplot they created fell completely flat to the plot leading to the final vote of the Amendment to abolish slavery. Joseph Gordon Levitt almost peaked my interest in his need to fight with his fellow country men, but this soon became pretty un interesting as the movie only spent about 86 seconds on it. I mean, i Know this is historically accurate and I wasn’t waiting for an alien ship to land... but give me SOMETHING else... maybe someone down the road is suffering from the Cholera.. do they live or die?? 

4. Being a democrat I know how the Catholics felt while watching Passion of the Christ and how todays athletes feel while watching Revenge of the Nerds.

DAMIEN ECHOLS: LOVE AFTER DEATH

Last Wednesday Henry Rollins and Damien Echols hosted an event at the New York Public library in promotion for the book “Life After Death” written by Mr. Echols.

The West Memphis Three.

Those of you who don’t know what that is, should definitely read about it. It’s one of many incidences where the flaws of our judicial systems have ruined the lives of innocent people.  In 1994 Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin and Jessie Misskelley Jr. were convicted of murdering three young boys in West Memphis Arkansas. Damien Echols, considered the ‘ring leader’ of the crime, suffered 18 years on death row and was finally released in 2011. You can read a bit about them in “Life After Death” a blog written by our own Melissa Presti. "Google, decades of media attention, and the 3-part HBO documentary Paradise Lost can bring you up to speed."

In his book, Damien mentions what a close connection to winter he feels and how when it snows, something beautiful happens inside of him. Well, the night of his conversation with Henry Rollins at the New York Public Library, the grounds of New York City felt that very snow that Damien looks forward to now since his release.

"ARGO F*CK YOURSELF..."

My review on the movie of the year “Argo”, directed by Ben Affleck.

Have you noticed that people out there get violently upset when you talk about Ben Affleck as an actor? I’ve always felt middle ground with the guy as a performer. Never leaned one way or the other with him in that category. I’ve never been disappointed that he’s in something nor have I been silently cheering that he’s included in a cast list. I liked him in...

And liked him a lot in...
But wasn’t crazy about...
And God hope we forget...

And it’s movies like the latter that force several individuals to contort their faces into expressions of pure hatred at the thought of Ben Affleck acting in a movie. Recently Affleck has taken the directorial reigns with The Town and now Argo. And I have to say... Bravo, Ben. Bravo. It was interesting for me to see that George Clooney was also a producer on this film. Here’s why...

HALLOWEEN HOPES

How to make this years Halloween significantly better than the last.

I don’t know if any of you heard the story of my experiences LAST HALLOWEEN. The weather was horrible, my costume collapsed upon itself like a dying star halfway through the party I threw and some guy died in my building the night of said party. It was pretty terrible and all I can do is cross my fingers that this year is going to be much better. I’d like to start a lil chart called THIS YEAR vs. LAST. This year, I plan on doing EVERYTHING the same, but adding one little TWIST to hope for a different outcome:
